As SilverLeaf continues to grow, exciting things are happening in the community. Bastrop Independent School District (Bastrop ISD) has officially broken ground on its 10th elementary school, marking an important milestone for local families and the future of education in the area.
Located within the SilverLeaf neighborhood along Highway 71 near the western edge of Bastrop County, the new campus will help accommodate the area’s continued growth while providing students with a modern learning environment designed to support their success.
Investing in the Future of Bastrop County
Funded through Bastrop ISD’s voter-approved 2023 Bond Program, the new elementary school represents the district’s continued commitment to creating exceptional learning environments for students and families.
The July 2026 groundbreaking ceremony brought together district leadership, members of the Board of Trustees, community members, and project partners to celebrate the beginning of construction.
The new campus is expected to open in time for the 2027–2028 school year, bringing additional educational opportunities closer to home for families in the growing SilverLeaf area.

A Community Growing Together
At SilverLeaf, building a community means more than creating new homes. It means being part of a growing area where families can put down roots, build connections, and look forward to the future.
The addition of a new Bastrop ISD elementary school reflects the continued investment taking place throughout Bastrop County and the exciting opportunities ahead for the next generation.
As SilverLeaf continues to take shape, we’re excited to see the community grow alongside the schools, amenities, and local resources that help make a place feel like home.
